How it works
The converter uses mid-market rates, the midpoint between buying and selling prices, updated daily. Every currency is held as a rate against the rupee, so a conversion goes through it: result = amount × rate of the 'from' currency ÷ rate of the 'to' currency. The 1-unit rate between the pair is shown too.
If today's rates cannot be loaded, the tool falls back to recent built-in rates and labels the date 'Recent' instead of 'Today'. Banks, card companies and money changers usually add a margin or fee on top of the mid-market rate, so the amount you actually receive will normally be a little lower. Use this for quick checks, quotes and invoices.

Why is my bank's rate different?
This tool shows the mid-market rate. Banks and card companies add their own margin, and sometimes a fee, when they exchange money. Compare the rate they offer with this one to see how much the exchange is costing you.
How often are the rates updated?
Rates are updated daily. If the latest rates cannot be loaded, the converter uses recent saved rates and shows 'Recent' as the rate date, so you always know which you are seeing.
Is the converter free?
Yes. It is free with no sign-up and works in your browser. The amounts you type stay on your device unless you choose to copy the result, share it on WhatsApp or save it as a PDF.
